This was a slippery slope. Slipperier than growing too comfortable on Erid and in the house with Grace. Slipperier than falling into the wrong crowd on Eden and ending up in prison. Slipperier than the blood as it poured in through the gashes of the submarine.

Simon wakes up in an unknown place with the scars of his previous life etched onto his skin. As he struggles to pull himself into focus, and listen to the angel living here who's spouting off information, he realizes that the C.O.I. and Eden can no longer reach him. As Simon attempts to get used to his new appearance from his time in the submarine and understand the man guiding him through this new life, Simon realizes that he may have a bigger problem to deal with. The pain from his injuries is manageable, it's the newfound knot in his stomach that's confusing. While Grace is focused on how Simon even ended up on Erid in the first place, Simon spends his time focused on a much brighter, more bubbly individual...

Summary

An abandoned and fully-functional space station floats just outside the atmosphere of a distant celestial body, which seems to be covered in a suspicious red liquid. And if that's not crazy enough, a tree seems to be growing from the depths of that crimson sea, with a barely-breathing human man hooked onto one of its branches.
It's time for Grace to be brave; after having the pressure of saving the entire world on his shoulders for so long, what was one more life?

Summary
After Grace hears of a new ship and finds out theres a living human onboard, he's hit with a wave of strong and occasionally conflicted emotions. Those emotions are only strengthened once he finds out that human---Simon---seems just as traumatized, if not more, than Grace himself was
And after Simon wakes up onboard an unknown spaceship with an alien and the kindest person he's ever met, he has to learn to regain his footing in a much kinder world than he's used to, alongside growing to understand the other human---Grace.
Now they've got to figure out just how to handle and help eachother, even as their own feelings (and trauma) start bubbling out of control
