Summary
Francis nods, in the low light his smile seems melancholy. "There are some places where I don't quite fit anymore," he shakes his head, like gathering courage, or maybe to shake off an unpleasant thought.
"Why don't you stay?"(Sidney Freedman and Francis Mulcahy meet again in 1954. Some things are the same and some are different)

Summary
Afterwards Francis could not really recall how he had packed his bags or bought the ticket. The fog around him didn’t feel like a soft blanket suffocating him anymore, now it felt like a violent, oppressive force pressing down on him. And it clung to him tightly as he boarded the Greyhound bus, as he settled down and took to staring out of the window.
(Francis feels untethered and alone, and Max Klinger is a kind person)

Summary
Father Mulcahy passes out during his Sunday services. That's it, this is just friendship and fluff and Mulcahy being taken care of. Set loosely during the episode Dear Sis, but if Dear Sis was set in season 8, because I forgot mid-writing that it wasn't. But it's okay cause it doesn't really reference it a lot

Summary
Bones carries Spock's Katra through all the events of Search for Spock. He willingly goes into a dangerous procedure to save his friend. He's there to support Jim and Spock every step of the way, but in those films nobody ever seems to spare a thought for what their too-kind Doctor McCoy is going through. This is a bit of a fix-it for exactly that, feat. autistic Bones as per my headcanon!

She doesn't expect to find a friend in Jonathan Byers, her awkward, near-silent coworker. Overburdened with responsibilities and used to solitude, Jonathan doesn't think he needs a friend at all. One eventful summer, though, will prove them wrong.

Caught in a storm of various too big feelings with no direct access to his preferred targets, he accuses Jonathan of not caring anymore. Jonathan looks down at the glass he’s holding, water swishing and swirling inside, and says quietly, “You’re the reason I’m still here.”
“Like, you feel stuck in Hawkins because of me? If that’s the case, then you—”
“No, Will.” His eyes dart up. “You’re the reason I’m still here.”
In which Will and Jonathan find that some things never change.

Summary
He turned from the mirror, scooping up the purse he kept buried in the back of his closet and humming quietly to himself. He felt good. Excited. It was easy to ignore the tight coil in his chest - a wanting so sickly he couldn’t put a name to it.
Instead, he smears a bit of lipstick onto his lips, and cringes when they briefly flicker blue.
