“Shit, shit, shit,” he cursed as he gripped the wrist of his injured hand, holding it above his heart. The cut wasn’t massive and, by design, not something you could stitch, but that didn’t make it any less messy or risky.
The blood thinners were not his friend right now.
A singular river of red trailed down his forearm to his elbow, then dripped onto the floor, leaving little splatters that his shoes soon smeared against the tile.
“Towel, towel, towel,” he said, spinning on his heel, gaze raking the room frantically. “Fuck—shit, there you are.”
Buck wanted fajitas, so he went to the store for the sweet onions he needed, but he got the wrong kind because he unexpectedly ran into the team, which had nothing to do with why he was crying in his kitchen--obviously, the shitty onions were to blame.
And his day just gets worse from there--as he ends up fileting off a strip of skin, bleeding everywhere, then accidentally hitting his talk-to-text and sending a ramble he never meant anyone to hear to the last person on earth to care: Eddie.

“It’s at a gay bar,” Buck blurts out before he can think better of it—think of a gentler way to explain that this might not be Eddie’s scene.
Eddie doesn’t seem the least bit phased, “Okay.”
It’s said in a way that makes Buck feel like he’s missing something here.
“Okay,” he repeats dumbly.
Because now that it’s an option he can’t stop thinking about it. A re-do of the bachelor party, dressed-up, drunk, and having fun with his favorite person. Maybe he should thank Tommy, actually?

Tommy bails on Buck's Halloween plans, Eddie offers to take his place in the couples costume contest, and Buck goes home with a grand prize.

After more than five seconds with no answers, he goes again, “118” this time his voice is more tense, “This is firefighter Buckley and Diaz, and we need help.” He begs through gritted teeth, “Anyone hear me? Hen? Chimney? Does anybody hear me?” He calls out a little louder, but no answer.

It’s at this moment that Eddie feels a sudden urge to move. He’s not sure whether he wants to jump back into the water and go hide in the darkness of the Pacific Ocean, or if he wants to crawl over Buck’s body and hold him so close they both might break into pieces.
He hesitates briefly before scooching himself near Buck. He doesn’t hover over his body, but rather sits near his head. With shaky hands, he turns his face to him and holds him between the palms of his hands. He touches him like he’s fragile, like he might break. Eddie’s fork drops to his plate, making a small clatter. He can feel that his mouth is agape. He’s very glad he hadn’t taken another bite or sip of anything while Buck spoke. Because what the actual fuck? Buck… is a sugar daddy.
OR: Buck is a sugar daddy who wants to spoil Eddie rotten and take care of everything for him. Eddie has never had that sort of relationship but is willing to give it a try. There is plenty of adventure along the way.

“I told Chris about my will – it’s fine, he’s fine with it, happy even – and he’s got some concerns. No, I just said that he’s fine with – Buck.” Buck takes a breath, and then just listens. “He knows about the will, he’s fine with it. He’s just worried about the logistics of it all, how he’ll go to you and not his grandparents.”
Buck, still slightly nervous, nods, “Is there anything we can do about it?”

Not what Eddie was expecting turned out to be the understatement of the millenia.
From Bobby’s reaction to finding out that Buck was working out when he knew there was a new alpha in the firehouse, he suspected the guy was out to prove a point. What he was not expecting was the 6’2 , muscular dirty blond with a physique to rival any alpha’s, bench pressing more than Eddie could on most days.
Eddie’s mouth dropped open, and he couldn’t help scenting the air to catch the slightest whiff of omega wafting through the room. His instincts struggled to reconcile the sight of the absolute tank of a man in front of him and that sweet alluring tang in the air.
“Buck, what have I told you about scent blockers in the gym?” Bobby said sternly.
“Uh, that it’s not my fault I sweat through them when I’m having a good workout?”

“Must have,” Chimney answers before Buck even has the chance to. “And obviously, he knew it was Eddie right away, because there never was any question on who Buck would marry given the chance.”
“Hey,” even though he feels the need to object to that, there is no heat in his voice. The longer he thinks about it, the more he realizes that his brother-in-law is completely right with that assessment.
