"I'm here on my own fucking will! You're fucked up for playing hero when, in fact, all you're doing is trying to destroy what gives people hope! The Syndicate gives the people of L'Manburg hope! I have my own motives to join them," Red Reaper shot a murderous look at Puppeteer. He almost hoped that his anger could burn a hole in that white mask.
Puppeteer fell silent, not taking his eyes off Red Reaper, as if trying to solve it like some kind of puzzle. Finally the hero straightened his shoulders and said with mock sympathy, "I'm willing to bet that Siren Song also had his own motives until they killed him."
or the Syndicate loses one of its members, Siren Song, to the tragic accident. Tommy takes his place in the Syndicate and vows to avenge the death of his older brother. Everything is going well, but who is this new hero Phantom, who follows the head of the Council of Heroes everywhere and behaves like a bitch?

“Fuckin’ phantoms,” Phil huffs, coming back in their house from patching a leak in the roof. He shakes his wings, messy feathers sticking every which way. “I swear, they exist to spite me.”
Techno walking back in from one of his walks through the woods, claw marks tearing across his shoulder. Wilbur hovers, worried, but Techno waves him off with a reassuring smile. “It’s alright. Just a phantom scratch. Hurts, but it’ll heal.”
Tommy coming into his room late at night, blue eyes blown wide in the dark. “Wil, I can’t sleep. Can I stay here? I—I don’t wanna bring more phantoms around…”
All those times phantoms got in their way, made their lives harder… Wilbur remembers every one.
But when he’s twelve, wings grow in, leathery, not like Phil’s. His ears have a point to them, his skin paler. Bright green eyes stare back into his own.
Wilbur… he’s a phantom. He’s one of them.

“What is this? Wilbur had screeched the very next morning.
Techno huffed. “A railing. ‘Cause none of you can stay on your own two feet, apparently.”
Tubbo flushed red and shuffled his feet. The jab was aimed more at Wilbur, but both Tommy and Tubbo had tripped over those steps for the first few days. But they learned. They learned to stick close to the wall and watch where they put their feet. Something Wilbur refused to do.
“It’s childish,” Wilbur crossed his arms and turned up his nose. “We are all equals here. We certainly don’t need child-proofing.”
‘More like Wilbur-proofing’, Techno almost snapped back.

Wilbur had fallen over the side exactly seven and a half times. Not that Techno had been keeping count.

Summary
Niki’s right. Charisma is dangerous. Wilbur is dangerous and, by all means, should be contained. Even without his powers, he likes to think he’s a threat.
Every second he’s not behind bars is a second he can break free of his prison by proximity and return to his roots, figure out a means to possibly free his father. That would make him proud. Maybe.
But blessings often come with a curse—yes, Wilbur has mobility, but he and Father have faced off against Crow, Blade, and Icarus on countless occasions. A vendetta is likely. More than that, it’s expected. If Wilbur wants to get anything done, he’ll certainly have his work cut out for him.
Or: Wilbur is a villain, it’s what he’s been since he was a kid. Now he’s forced to live with heroes to be “rehabilitated.”
As if who he is can be changed.
