Summary
Lune and his little cohort of thieves steal something that maybe they shouldn’t have.
“Lune had no guess for how long both Asteria and Lune just stared. Eventually, his thoughts started to catch up with him as he began processing what this meant. This was magic. Either Asteria was a secret animus, or he was right, and the bracelet was magic.
This was magic.
He was in possession of magic.
He kept waiting for the punchline, but it never came.
Because this was really happening.”

Summary
He wouldn’t admit he was a little grateful when he ended up running into Cimex instead. Literally.
Whatever the HiveWing had been holding was now a shattered pile of yellow and grey glass on the floor, his arms still outstretched as if holding something and seemingly frozen in time as the sound echoed. The only movement that showed he was alive was his jaw clenching and talons shakily curling inward.
Termite cringed. “I will pay for that.”
“It wasn’t mine.”
“Oh,” a pause, “who’s was it?”
Cimex’s talons curled into fists. “You are insufferable!”
“What? But I didn’t do anything!”

Summary
This is meant to be read in a serious tone. Preferably out loud. As if it where an audio book.
" She did not live in the north, she’d never seen the northern sky before, of course. She was a tropical dragon, who lived in the tropics, on a tropical island with tropical plants and a tropical sky and tropical water. She lived in the tropics, of course, she had never left. She had known nothing but tropics. She was a tropical dragon.
She had also never gazed upon another dragon other than those whom she was created and bound to by blood. She had craved another’s company, which was seldom found. Instead, finding companionship in the creatures that were located on her current residence. But as quickly as they were acquainted, they had fled like an unkindness of ravens from the unholy screech of the howler monkey freighted by dinosaur which was actually a mossy log in the dead of night under the northern sky. "
This is an inside joke that no one will understand.

Summary
"I'll climb it," Geralt said, crossing his arms stubbornly.
Jaskier stared in disbelief.
“You, Brick Shithouse of Rivia, think that the upper branches are going to support your weight?”
.
Jaskier's good at climbing.
Like.
Really good.

Summary
Layla froze on the sidewalk, bracing one hand against the building as she cocked her head, eyeing the man up ahead who was speaking, lingering just past the crosswalk.
It… was that Marc? Steven?
It couldn’t be. She knew Marc spoke passing Spanish, but nothing with the speed and fluency that this person was. She couldn’t even be sure it was him—it wouldn’t make any sense, anyhow. Just, the stature—she’d grown so familiar with his body that it was a knee-jerk reaction to recognize him in a crowd. It was how she’d found him in Cairo.

Summary
“Don’t let the blood get into your ship, okay?”
That made Grace pause. “What?!”
“If I die, you have to get my body out of here,” the man pleaded, but Grace had to go. His oxygen was out. The guy would be dead in six minutes. “You have to get me out, even if I’m dead. Hey!”
“Just hold on!” Grace propelled himself through zero gravity, away from the radio.
“Don’t leave me here-!” The roar echoed through the ship halls.
---
When Ryland Grace complained about being a little bored, maybe a little lonely, he thought a nostalgic trip around Erid would fix him right up. The last thing he expected was to find deadly space bacteria in deep space and a human. Alive.
