Summary
Racetrack Higgins always thought it would be his own vices that got him into trouble one day; it turns out his Ma does it for him. When Ma Higgins crosses the local drug lord and leaves him high and dry with a target on his back, Race is saved by a mysterious stranger who gives him a safe place to hide—a short-tempered and anti-social stranger covered in horrifying scars, with a past as dark as the marks on his body.
