Others were blurred beyond recognition from tears that must have been shed. The occasional photograph stuck between pages for those small moments of happiness that he held on to. Flowers pressed between pages as a sort of way to keep some things alive.. The magic of this diary held a small piece of his soul. No it wasn't a horcrux but it was a sort of dark magic long ago forgotten. Those pages held a story of a boy forced to grow, forced into a life he did not want for himself.
