Summary
Frenchie has always been good at acting. He's been doing it his whole life, one way or the other. Whether waiting on rich twats, their table overloaded with food when he was hungry, expression carefully schooled from showing how much he hated them, to scamming a gullible punter. He can feign joy and sorrow and interest in someone, even when they are the most boring cunt he's ever met, so long as he gets to rob them blind.
Good conmen are always good actors, and he is a very good conman.
There's an art to it, keeping your face straight, not allowing your eyes to slide away when you tell a lie. Of course the trick there is to have a small percentage of the truth in the lie, although occasionally and rarely, the lie is so outrageous that it is automatically believed to be true no matter how ridiculous.
Kind of like him being Captain of the New Unicorn.

Summary
This is a very silly love story. It’s silly because it’s about a fairy and they are usually very silly creatures. They are also sweet and playful and sexy and when they fall in love it is with their entire heart and it is forever.
The fairy in our story is called Frenchie, and he lives in a fairy burrow in the New Forest in the south of England. Fairies like living underground, often in abandoned badgers sets as they feel safe and warm. They mostly live communally but sleep in their own little chambers, carved out within the burrow, on soft beds of moss and rose petals, that strangely never seem to fade.
Most of them do not have magic in the accepted sense, but they are creatures of magic, and magical things can happen when you fall in love with one.

Summary
Sitting straighter, Steak tenses as the door is encouraged further open by a booted foot and Captain French pops his head around, sees him and winks, then backs in, bringing Mr Hands with him, his long fingers very firmly over his husband’s eyes.
“Are you looking forward to your present, dear?”
Behind his makeshift blindfold, Mr Hands frowns. “It's not my fucking birthday.”
“A man can't get a present for his husband? Call it a belated wedding present.”
“Frenchie, we've been married a year and a half.”
Captain French smiles indulgently, and it’s clear to Steak that he loves his husband very much. “Very belated then, wouldn’t you say.” -

There’s a stony silence and he thinks for a moment that he’s gone too far, until the man leans forward, expression unreadable but for the hot glitter of his eyes.
“Am I to understand, Mr French, that you are offering sexual favours in return for leniency with regard to your performance?”
Frenchie gives him another sultry look. “That was the idea, babe, yeah. Mr Hands,” he adds, quickly, when the man fixes him with an ice-cold stare.
