“Still, you were on the edge of burnout just a few minutes ago, and what we were doing is not exactly in the rest-and-recovery field.”
“Mender-Brennan may be hot, but he’s also a killjoy and a huge pain in the ass,” he recoils and lifts a hand before I can even open my mouth, narrowing his eyes “do not turn that into a sexual joke.”
“Wasn’t going to.”Or, Carr pushes Naolin beyond his limits, and Brennan is there to catch him.
