A sweet, light story without complicated plot lines and heavy drama weighing it down. A good relax read that you’ll breeze through and be surprised you’ve already reached the end. No angst to do with timelines or from any backstory in the underground. Completely set on the present. It’s adorable to see the female lead and Sans dance around each other and get closer. As well as a peek at different aspects of monster life on the surface.
Does have a focus on the civil rights of a minority (monsters) and some hateful language/actions surrounding that. As well as sexual harassment in a work setting. Nothing goes too far or too explicit in that regard. There is a sex scene, and a near-one, that spans a couple chapters. They are pretty obvious and reasonably able to be skipped.

Bookmarker's Notes
Overall amazing story.
It jumps in very quickly with relationship building between the lead, Sans, and Papyrus. Quickly introducing the supporting cast of co-workers and other monsters (Alphys, Undyne, Toriel, Frisk, etc) and sticking to that cast for the rest of the story. A few new characters are brought in and out but they’re mostly antagonists that the lead doesn't interact with often.
The story is almost exactly cut into two major arcs that contribute to each other. Its a lot of reading but the progressing situation makes it so you don’t get bored.
There’s a lot of detail into Sans’ and the lead’s mental health, the effects of trauma, and various methods of coping. I feel like the opinion and experiences of the author saturated this work and definitely leans towards their opinions of such matters. Doesn’t detract from the story but is noticeable at some points. The first third had a lot of character building for the lead (“you”) and some major backstory as well. I find that odd considering it’s supposed to be the reader but the lead has such significant and defining history that’s not easy to relate to, though is easy to sympathize with. I feel like having the lead be the reader didn’t add anything and was a small distraction for the most part.
Warnings- (SPOILERS)
Gaslighting, self harm, torture, mental torture, kidnapping, PTSD, vague threats of rape, breaking and entering, and societal negativity towards a minority (monsters).
Trauma involving death of loved ones, fire, abandonment, and child abuse
