Everyone was cheery at the victory party. Everyone except you, who can’t help but mope on some couch near a corner of the venue. You had seen her and Lupa, drinking and partying it up, all smiles and cheer as all types of nobles and other important people introduced themselves to them, all while the loser only watched from the corner, no one paying him any mind. Such is the way of Septimont. Winner takes all.
You thought that at least you could admire the winner from afar, your eyes meeting a couple of times through it all, but even she eventually left your sight, leaving you lost to your thoughts, all alone. Or so you thought. “Care for a drink?”
Before you could even see who it was, a woman sat down right beside you, her golden eyes and easy smile making you instantly blush. “C-Contender Rover…!”
