As much as Robin appreciated her being so understanding he wanted- needed to get those memories out of his mind, and the best way to do that is to talk about them, share them with someone who could provide comfort, advice and a shoulder to cry on.
„It‘s okay, really. I promise. This is… good, for me.“ He reassured.
In response Starfire only quietly muttered:“If you believe so.“ to herself. Although she was very supportive of her best friend and boyfriend opening up, she was rather skeptical wether it was a good idea for him to keep talking when this is such a sensitive topic. She could see the doubt and fear building up in him.
Or
Robin has a panic/PTSD attack on his birthday and Starfire, being the amazing (girl)friend that she is, comforts him through it.

“Let’s go home.”
Robin’s sentance was spoken like a command to the others - said with the harsh tone the other Titans associated with his stern leadership style.
But Raven caught the plea weaved between his words,
the melancholy energy that was pulsating around him, which was evidently missed by the others. Starfire clasped her hands loosely together and wore a weak smile, clearly still feeling the effects of the probes that weakened her.To be honest, they all were. And externally it seemed Robin wasn’t sharing in thier aches and pains from the device, but Raven was sure that internally his suffering was the most severe of them all.
Then he turned, and stepped outside the collapsing building.
The change was instantaneous.

"Nice? Friend?" Starfire's head tilts, eyes imploring under twinkling, luminescent city lights as she stares holes into Robin, slightly perturbed. "I do not know of such words. The closest we have is Rutha," she clarifies, the Tameranian dialects harsh and grating, like a throaty snarl lashing at an enemy. "Weak."
Robin waves his hands in front of him like a poor imitation of a wooden shield, looking extremely uncomfortable.
"No. That's..." He trails off and his entire countenance seems to reset in the face of what he must perceive as Starfire's distantly cool silence. "A friend is...well, someone you have a close bond with." He doesn't gesture to the two of them, not exactly. "Kinda like extended family."
