"The first thing that Ryland noticed, aside from the fact that his literal clone had just popped up in a small diner in the middle of San Fransisco, was that the guy was wearing sunglasses.
Inside.
They were perched on the bridge of a nose that looked like it had been broken several times—ouch—but, that was definitely his nose. Same cheekbones. Same jaw. Ryland would know. He saw it every morning, in the streaky mirror in his bathroom.
Upwards of two decades of not seeing his twin brother, and all Ryland could focus on was that Colt was wearing sunglasses inside. Like, seriously. Who did that?"

A (heated) reunion.
"Surprised you're drinking that, you hate wine."
"You don't have whiskey."
"Well, I fucking hate whiskey," Chuuya hummed, drinking the rest of the wine within his glass, Dazai noticing those cogs within his mind as the other man looked back and forth between the bottle and the cup. Eventually, he picked up the bottle and took a swig.
"Taking it easy, I see," Dazai smirked, letting the glass rest on the table once more as he inspected the other man's frown. Perhaps he could tell him. Perhaps he couldn't tell him. Was it because he couldn't or that he wouldn't? He wasn't sure.
"I thought you were dead," Chuuya muttered, taking another swig out of the bottle, hand tightly wrapped around the neck of it, clearly biting down on his tongue to avoid screaming.
"I didn't want you to come looking for me."
Chuuya & Dazai get to know one another again, essentially.
