Summary
For as long as Harry Potter could remember, he had only ever really needed—and wanted and longed for—one thing.
Family.
Family cared for one another, even at the expense of others that was not part of that family. In that, Harry could say that family is selfish and he was okay with it.
And Death had always been a part of his life and he might as well hold on to what was left for him.
It's that Harry Potter is Harley Keener AU nobody (including me) was looking for.

Summary
Harry was just a young man, 14 years old, who spent most of his life in a cupboard, abused by his only living relatives.
He'd let his hair grow out, purely because, since the incident last year where he blew up Aunt Marge, aunt petunia was too afraid to get close enough to use her dreaded hedge clippers on him. Which was fine with Harry, he hated aunt petunia's idea of what constitutes a 'good enough hair cut for the freak'.But, when Bill Weasley comments on Harry's longish locks after getting to the Weasley home after being rescued, and Charley congratulates him on taking the next step into being a man ... Harry is rightly confused. Especially when the elder Weasley brother hands him a strange tin with the words printed on the front, 'Sleekeazy's Hair Potion and Scalp Treatment', and advises him to use it.
Or: Harry is confused by wizarding culture - shocker. But as usual, takes his cues from Ron and chooses to ignore it. That is, until his name gets pulled out of the goblet of fire and everyone seemingly turns on him.
Forced out, truly on his own in the wizarding world, with no friends to guide him, Harry pulls up his socks and decids he better start figuring it out for himself.

Summary
Death can say not much surprised him being Immortal and having literally seen everything humanity had to offer. So, when a woman appeared before him, places his cloak over his shoulders, his missing eye in his head and a long-knuckled finger in its rightful place. Death can say for certain. He wasn't expecting this. He smiles.

Summary
It took Harry far longer than it should have to realise that he had been transported to a different world. Granted, he thought he had been merely transported back in time, which was the logical conclusion to come to when you were suddenly displaced during an incident with someone who wanted to re-invent the time-turner.
Arriving in a different world with nothing but the clothes on his back leaves Harry scrambling to find ways to make money and survive this new world, and this time the trouble that he finds himself in might be entirely of his own devising.
