Stained with blood. No. Surely her hands weren’t covered in dried blood.
When she looked up the woman was still smiling and surely she was imagining the edge to it?
“Better run along then, yeah?” Voice low and conspiratorial, dripping with something that sent shivers down her spine and straight to the base of her stomach.
