He wasn’t sure why he even bothered to come…much less why he was here before 7 AM. But it wasn’t like he’d done much sleeping in the past three months, anyway. He’d gotten an email that the performing arts department was reopening it’s doors to faculty who were still in the city, those who wanted to root through their offices or even just try to get back to routine.
Routine...? Come in, check the broken stage lights…fix up things upon these very same boards where he’d sat for long hours surrounded by grading papers and an extremely uncooperative tablet.
How strange, to ask that of him. To ask him to just settle back in as if he were full again when he was bled so dry by the past three months he only could think of one thing that might refill him. Here he was, center stage...and this really was something out of a playbook.

Summary
Pyro and Scott’s relationship had always been as complicated and rocky as the snowy mountains of their hometown, Tegrith. They met at age two - competing over who could take the most steps until the other fell - and that first interaction sparked the flames that fueled their entire relationship. Unspoken rivalry thrived off of them, each doing their best to prove their excellence as they walked the thin line of being friends or enemies.
Until the fire between the two burned out.
At fifteen, Pyro left their small town without a word - no goodbye, no explanations.
So, to say Scott isn't quite prepared when his childhood rival shows up eight years later at the dragon riding academy that's destined to save the Kingdom of Eternal Summer, is an understatement. The ice mage is already carrying the weight of the kingdom on his shoulders, along with the pressure of making his family proud. Before, that was manageable.
Now, with Pyro?
He'd rather climb to the peak of Tegrith fifty times than deal with him. Because dealing with him entails so much more than just typical hatred...

Summary
This AU is a lens into the social media in a world where the Bad Boys were a band that was 'rivaled' with Gem and the Scott, and when the Bad Boys broke up as Grian had to step down for mental heath reasons. Jim and Joel created a new band with two other members called The Rejects and the 'rivalry' softly continued.
Que Cleo as the PR Manager and actual Manager for both bands trying to keep everything in order, with Scar and Bdubs not being much help, and Lizzie, Ren and Martyn being big parts of the worlds musical theater scene.

A soulmate Au<3
Jimmy was born long before the Gods of the world had even begun to ponder the creation of soulmates and the Marks to identify them. Long before they had begun to create with intent rather than boredom- and thus before humans, gnomes, elves, and the many other sentient creatures which would be created with them even existed. Thus, he was born without any of the magical marks on his skin. To be fair, he wasn’t even really born with traditional skin at all- but the point still stands.
Scott was born with a bright red poppy blooming in the hollow of his throat. His parents had both been relieved to see it, the contrasting red flower on their son’s skin telling them that his soulmate was already born- and thus more likely than not an immortal. Hopefully, another elf, or one of the fae from the Overgrown, as the flower seemed to suggest.
Prince Sausage of Mythland was born with two intricate marks decorating his skin. His heart was shielded by a copper-scaled fish, a sea of aquamarine and turquoise swirls surrounding it. His hip was adorned with an aged oak branch- grown and carved into the shape of an antler.
