You’re gonna need an invitation to skip the line tonight, lamb chop.” She held herself loosely, weight shifted to one leg, but the thick span of her crossed arms brokered no arguments. “No invitation, no entry.”
“I’m…” Dan Heng swallowed as his eyes fell towards the pavement. He wasn’t ashamed, per se, but found that awkwardness tasted similar enough to count. “I’m Blade’s blood doll,” he said, forcing the strange words out as he brought his gaze back to the bouncer’s unimpressed face. “He told me you’d know what that meant.”

Illuga’s face warms as he takes in the sight before him: Flins, on his knees and bent at the waist, his chest sandwiched between broken wooden shelves and weighed down by books. At his feet lie scattered trinkets and scrolls, kicked around haphazardly. “Are you… alright?”
A wry chuckle escapes the compromised man. “As you can see, I seem to have gotten myself into quite the predicament. Might I trouble you for your assistance?”

Flins cupped Illuga's cheek with his right hand. "That couldn't be further from the truth. You're the most amazing person I have ever met."

The Xianzhou Luofu and I are here for you always, you should know as much by now. I'm just relieved to see you all safe and sound. How long are you visiting for. . ."
The rest of the sentence escapes him as his gaze catches on a pair of horns which protrude from a head of black hair.
They're different from the translucent blue of those belonging to Imbibitor Lunae, carved instead from molten gold. Rays of sun catch on their surface as their owner steps closer, grown in stature so he and Jing Yuan now stand at eye-level.

Summary
Really, it had started as a joke. A good joke even. Everyone had thought so - even Dan Feng had delicately tucked his face behind his sleeve to hide a smile. He should have just left it there. He should have left well enough alone. But the persistent call of 'overdoing it' was a mortal failing that Yingxing is intimately familiar with, and it didn't abandon him now as he held his package in a tightly clenched fist.
Jing Yuan, the not-so-little-anymore Cloud Knight, stared at him expectantly, something teasing already forming on his lips at Yingxing's confliction. He likely already had debauched ideas in his head about the package's contents. Well, he wouldn't be that far off.
Or, Yingxing makes Jing Yuan a collar as a joke. Things escalate from there. Dan Feng finds all of this very amusing.
