Summary
I have been loving all these fix-it fics and so I thought I’d contribute my own humble attempt!
Ch 1: Tom attempts to graciously step aside. Mary gets in his way.
Ch 2: Ryder attempts to interrupt. Mary politely declines.
Ch 3: Ryder swims out toward the boat. Mary tells Tom to seize the oars and row.
(Had to update the rating due to a mild regency wet t-shirt competition scenario that accidentally fell out of my brain on this third go-round…)Series

Summary
A reimagining of *that scene* in the Paris tunnels. Essentially, I have Young Sherlock Brain rot and it won’t leave me alone.
Small excerpt: “Sherlock,” he called, hand rising to his friend’s face as his knees sunk into the carpeted floor.
“He isn’t responding,” came the panicked and tearstained voice of Mrs. Holmes.
“Sherlock, look at me,” he said again, ignoring calls that it was useless. “Sherly! Look at me damn you.”
Dark lashed fluttered open and Moriarty felt his heart slow to a less frantic rhythm.
“James,” came a slurred response.
Moriarty felt his heart clench at the whine of pain that followed after.
“I’m here. I’m here. Stay with me, I’m right here,” he whispered, brushing Sherlock’s hair back.
“I’m sorry,” came another slurred response.
“Don’t you dare,” he said firmly, practically shouting while still maintaining a whisper. It felt right to hold hushed tones in this moment: though he wasn’t certain if that was due to Sherlock dying or due to the emotions surging between them. “Don’t you dare apologize for any of it. Not now. You owe me Sherlock Holmes. You burst into my life and you’re not leaving it yet.”

Summary
James didn’t see fit to dignify him with a response this time, instead leaning in to whisper something into the woman’s ear which had her erupting in giggles. It was a shrill, unfavourable sound, and Sherlock thought he may just combust if he were forced to listen to it a moment longer. He grabbed James by the arm and wrenched him from the woman, who let out an over-exaggerated gasp before almost immediately moving on to the next half-drunk target when she realised James wouldn’t be returning.
“Agh, what the— Sherlock!” James hissed, pawing uselessly at his vice-like grip as Sherlock made a beeline for the small door he’d noticed on the way in. Taking a quick look to ensure they weren’t being observed, he swung the door open and shoved James through, following and closing the door with a click behind them.___________________
Or, Sherlock gets annoyed when James is distracted with the dancers instead of looking for Silas. James takes it upon himself to show Sherlock what distraction really means.

Summary
Mary had, of course, warned him, in her careful and precise way, that her sisters were coming to London in a fortnight and would very likely call on Tuesday. She said this the way she said most things - directly, without embellishment, and as though the facts spoke sufficiently for themselves. Tom had nodded and thought: sisters. Yes. He had older sisters that he was very fond of. He found himself quite confused at the undertone of dread Mary seemed to have as she anticipated the visit. “I understand sisters very well, my dear!”
It turned out, he did not understand the Bennets.

Summary
Agreeing to join the Gardiner’s for a holiday in The Lakes had been an act of hope for Tom Hayward as he would do anything for even the smallest chance of seeing Miss Mary Bennet. Now without the distractions of London and the restrictions of any prior obligations he had the opportunity for much more.
