Techno chuffs softly, “I’m not leaving, Runt,” he assures, even though he doesn’t know it's a lie, “I’m not leaving, okay?”
“You will...” Tommy’s eyes flutter shut again, exhaustion dragging him down as he longs to whisper more, “You will… You all do… you all will…”
(Where Tommy dies in prison and ends up in the past with all the trauma to fuck it up again... and his scars keep appearing? What the hell?)

But just as expected, nothing gets any quieter. Their constant murmuring continues to ebb and flow much like the crashing waves at the shore. But never, ever going silent.

Okay we’re not doing that.(In which Tommy is just a small time vigilante with the ability to steal other peoples powers, and apparently that means he’s the guy for Chat to latch onto when they get separated from their Prophet. Hood’s whole body had gone stiff. Simmering with rage. He’d stopped walking, frozen in the street, and Tommy eyed him warily from the corner of his eye.

Or: Tommy died to Dream’s hands in an unforgiving obsidian cell and woke up in Gotham.Now he’s trying to figure out where he is and why the hell these people in costumes seem so concerned about him.
