Six explorers.
Six explorers had done the impossible, reached The Gate and survived a night in the eerie Kingdom of Castle Rock. Their return, more than a week ago, had relieved all but one. Y/N's body walks among the many - yet her mind lingers between violet pulses, chaotic laughter and a pair of crimson eyes that had intoxicated her more than they should've.
If only she knew hers was not the hardest punishment...
For on the other side of reality, the Jester stirs beneath the Kingdom’s chains, replaying every heartbeat, every breath she spent near him. Rage burns in him like a storm; the knowledge that she is gone, that she may now land in the hands of some vermin undeserving of her light, that she may be held by tainted hands, kissed by tainted lips. It maddens him anew. But it also grants him realization.
He holds power over this story, she said...
He can make his own choices, she said...So he will. He will reinvite his Enlightened and her friends back into his Lord's domain. He will separate them with their walkie-talkies as their only guidance. And he will make sure that by the end, she will not be taken from him again...
Even if Castle Rock must fall...

Summary
Cara is DJ Music Man's daytime technician. It's honestly exactly the docile job she was after; clock into work, watch over Music Man as he drops his sick beats, spend the afternoon checking the code in his DJ-rig for any bugs and clock out. However, much to her own dismay, her way out often takes her past the top walkway of the Superstar Daycare. Not because of Sun, definitely not, the two had become fast friends. More because of the second chip of the Attendant's dual chipset, who Cara finds madly terrifying.
...and, okay, yes, equally attractive.
Anyway, one day, Cara comes into work only to find someone else working on Music Man. She asks what's going on and is referred to management, who tell her Sun's previous technician hasn't clocked into work and they need someone knowledgeable and good with visitors to stay with him until their actual backup technician comes in.

Summary
Once started an urban legend among the fandom of We Were Here. A tale of the Gate to Castle Rock. Every year in October, since the release of We Were Here Together, cryptic hints and messages would arrive, leading only the smartest of Explorers to the location of the Gate. If every Explorer who found it was present on the eve of Halloween, it was rumored they'd be given the chance to truly visit the long vanquished kingdom of Castle Rock.
Nearly nobody believes it, of course. The ones who did never landed on a location all of them could reach and even if it were possible, there was no such thing as travel through time and space on Earth. The legend was soon nothing more than a rumor and people refused to hear out the occasional raving lunatic who spoke of it still.
Only a few perceptive eyes observed the anxious changes in Total Mayhem Games' behavior every year. And only six dared this year, to find the Gate that appeared in a space all six of them could reach...

Summary
As one of the few humans in a town ran by birds, you had trouble making ends meet. Imagine your surprise when you find an advertisement for an internship in acting with the Moon Penguins at Dead Bird Studio, call to ask if you can still apply and immediately get accepted. Grooves is a very nice boss and expresses his gratitude for your application a lot, while his world-renowned rival does quite the opposite. From the moment you set foot in the studio, The Conductor seemed to immediately dislike you. He wouldn't so much as look at you when you greeted him and never seemed to even consider being nice to you in the public eye. In private... you honestly didn't know.
That was soon to change, however. DJ Grooves notices your interest in his rival and, albeit reluctantly, sets up a plan to give the two of you some time away from prying eyes. Will this be your chance to set right what went wrong on your first day? Does The Conductor even still think that lowly of you?

After Sammy was taken back to the dark abyss, I was alone again. Somewhat, anyway. The Ink Demon told me it had to be done for both his sake and Henry's. The story must keep moving. The cycle must repeat. However, I don't want the Music Director to be left to his own devices in the Dark Puddles. Because I can tell it's not a fun place to be. Not because I want to see his handsome face again. Or because I might have the hots for the guy. Definitely not. ANYWAYS I'm getting him out of there. I don't know how yet, but a ritual to please the Demon might be a good start.
Oh boy... I expected it to work... but I didn't expect THAT..!
