Summary
All of his life, Michelangelo has been the glue that held his family together. No one asked him to, no one told him to, he just took it upon himself one day to dry tears and remind his family they are loved.
And when the world ended Mikey gathered up all the people he could reach into his arms and shielded them from the roaring tsunami that threatened to consume them all, and when the waves claimed some of the people he protected he just held tighter and refused to let the remaining ones shatter.
He has seen thousands and thousands of people die, felt when their spirits left the physical plane and went somewhere he couldn’t protect them, and with every death the fire in his chest burned brighter and brighter.
So when the resistance fell and his only remaining sibling asked him to sacrifice himself to send their last hope to the past, Mikey called upon that roaring bonfire in his chest and said, “We’re not letting anyone else die.”

Technoblade wasn’t one to trust easily, but when he did he’d happily give a life for those that earned it. Those people were few and far between.
That’s why Tommy’s betrayal hurt him so much.
The entire server seems to freeze, like an icy hand has reached down and grasped everything in its iron grip, trapping everything in place.
And then the world screams.
Tommy stared at the message, blinking rapidly and rubbing his eyes, like he’s trying to get rid of a hallucination. But it’s still there, glaring up at him. Mocking him. Daring him to react.
Tommy’s hands are shaking, he realizes numbly.
He remembers snow.
Tommy looks up at the message again, desperately hoping it’s gone so he can prove it really was just a hallucination-
It’s still there.
Tommy falls to his knees, hands buried in his hair and pulling hard enough to hurt-
And he screams.

Bruce shrugged. “Never hurts to be prepared.”
(aka Bruce becomes a Purse Mom once he starts acquiring kids. A collection of nonlinear scenes about being prepared, always keeping juice boxes on hand, suits with abnormally large pockets, and learning how to stock utility belts.)

“No straws?” she asked.
“Yes straws, just not plastic,” Bruce replied easily. He took two compact metal straws out of one of his pouches and handed her one. “You know,” he was smirking, “save the turtles.”
“B!” Cass gasped, letting out a quiet laugh. “I’m… telling.”
“What?” he asked, a look of faux confusion on his face. “Save the turtles? Is that like save the whales? That’s what they said when I was growing up.” A brief pause as if he was actually listening to someone, and then: “Tim, I never know what you’re talking about with the internet and your me-mes.”
She laughed harder.
“No one will believe you,” he said, back to normal.
“No,” she argued. “I’m… trustworthy.”
“Hm, we’ll see.”
He grinned at her and she couldn’t help but grin back.

“Um.” Kim Dokja winces at his inability to form words like a complete and utter moron, “So, I don’t know you and your circumstances but I can offer to house you for a night?”
While Kim Dokja’s internal screaming has reached a new crescendo, he doesn’t quite manage to take note of the man’s silence, which could be comparable to palpable shock, but he does hear him say, “You… don’t know me?”
Kim Dokja gulps nervously because is the man seriously asking him if Kim Dokja knows that he’s a wanted terrorist?? Kim Dokja shakes his head a few times in quick succession.
Epilogue!AU in which Kim Dokja returns from being constellation-ed without his memories except his name and Yoo Joonghyuk finds him three years later.
