No, no it isn’t. It’s never been this way before. You either stay and endure in silence or fight for a change till the very bitter end no matter what. What good does running away do? What good is there in giving up and abandoning everything you have? None, because the bitter truth is that you can’t just get up and leave everything behind.
Something will always follow, something will always stay. The guilt, the loss, it sticks to you like pungent black tar. Like a stain that would never wash away.
The faces of the kids he left behind at the orphanage, the knowledge that it’s all his fault will always haunt him.
There is no escaping oneself. “Enjin” knows that very well.

Summary
Enjin can’t help but look at Rudo, yet as hard as he tries he cannot muster an ounce of pity. No, the only thing that Enjin can still feel is a very solid sense of pride.
Because despite all that, Rudo is a good kid. Rough around the edges, too full of all-consuming rage ready to devour him and everything in the world. Yet under all that sand-paper personality and hurt lay a genuine desire to understand, to connect, to build.

Summary
How messed up everything has become, Diluc could only laugh at the irony of it. Their relationship had become a endless cycle of hurt from which neither of them could escape nor stop, not unless one of them let go. But which one of them could afford to let go?
Diluc glances at Kaeya once more, at the abyss holding him captive and then back at his own past and decides that the question is a foolish one. He is the only one that can afford to let go, the only one who has that privilege.
So Diluc lets go.

On a peaceful night at Angel's Share, a simple innocent gesture of affection makes Diluc realise that, despite whatever he wants to believe, he is as responsible if not more, about all the pain that exists between him and Kaeya. His hands still burn. -

“Since you look like a good boy, how about this? In exchange for a place to stay and a little stipend, you will be the nurse of a sick kid back at my home. So what do you say ?”
Looking back, Atsushi should have asked for a more extensive description of the job. But in the end what could a war orphan ask for, in a country ravaged by poverty? He would rather take care of a sick child in the country-side and have a roof over his head rather than turn back to been homeless and accept whatever dubious and horribly paid job he could get in the capital.
(A Post War Japan AU in wich Atsushi accepts a job as a nurse of a shut-in, after he saves Dazai from drowning in a strange secluded village far away from the capital. Where everybody tries to live peacefully while running away from their past)

Summary
At 22, Diluc only has himself, his anxiety, and a pocket watch inherited from his father that sometimes distracts him from loneliness. Hovering between college and a shitty job, he barely ever rests, and whatever free time he has he spends hunting for the truth about his father’s death.
His life implodes when he is attacked by a strange beast on his way home from work. If it weren’t for Kaeya, a beautiful knight summoned from the past, Diluc would have been monster dinner.
Neither Diluc nor Kaeya know why Mondstadt is suddenly bustling with monsters that hunt adepts of magic, but one thing is sure: they can count on each other.

The war is over, the peace treaty had been signed 4 years ago, but it is only a matter of time before the bomb explodes and the peace crumbles. The threat is right over the horizon and the prince himself will join the battle along with the chosen knights. Of course love is never part of the plan, neither is a certain Kingsglaive with a secret that might as well turn the tide of the upcoming battle.
