"HERMIT HARBOUR'S MERMIN: A RESEARCHER'S STUDY INTO THE CURIOUS CASE OF MOON GLOWING SEA CREATURES.
Mermin, first of all, is extremely old, now obsolete terminology for creatures currently called merfolk (inclusive of mermaids and mermen).
It is specifically used for the half fish, half human looking creature that uses their singing as bait.On this coast, the term has survived the years.
It is, in fact, still used by the paranoid people of Hermit Harbour to refer to this specific myth of theirs.
Although they never as much utter a word about the beings, it is the most notable myth in town.
One of the many, sitting comfortably next to the ghostly spectres of The Choir, their walking trees and talking birds.On oneself's experience, here's my account of what this tale entails."

Summary
Back then, the Watchers were seen as benevolent deities. Blessing the people with life and joy.
But that was five years ago.
Suddenly, the Watchers had turned. They weren’t as benevolent as they were before. Their blessings turned into curses as the world rotted into destruction and despair.
Grian, currently suffering from a strange case of amnesia, wakes up in the midst of this destroyed world. With a vague note and an eccentric man named Scar, Grian traverses across the land in order to find a way to completely restore his own memory.
Martyn and his two companions, Pearl and Scott, search for freedom. For a place that isn’t the desolate land they are trapped in. The only thing blocking their path is a field of dangerous traps, and their unwillingness to trust each other.
The two groups meet, and whilst finding the answers to many of their questions, they discover that their fates may be more intertwined than they could have ever imagined.

The goddess has gone missing and her assistant and her brother are looking for her. In the small town of Sunnyside Cliffs, a noble family gets attacked and killed by werewolves. Their youngest daughter sets out to make sure that something like this never happens again.
But something's wrong, and as to young Pearl S. C. N. T. Moon fights through the horrors of Oakhurst, she's about to learn that there are secrets she's been keeping from everyone, including herself
With gods and magic behind every corner, the people of Oakhurst are in for a wild ride. And everything Pearl thought she knew will be flipped on her head as she starts to dream of sunlit fields and a very cryptic stranger who insists on teaching her about how to grow sunflowers

Cleo knew without a doubt and without a thought what her answer was “if you’ll let me” then the tears came again, but not of sorrows and grief of the fears that she might lose her, but the knowledge that Pearl was with her for all of eternity and how sweet that could ever be. The most perfect person, her darling, her puppy, her everything.

After the end of v!smp we follow Pearl and Cleo as they slowly rebuild Oakhurst and heal their trauma together.

Pearl knew it was inevitable.
She knew that they wouldn't let her continue on calm and aware (or at least the most calm and aware as she could be with her crumbling mental state.)they're were going to fog up and rip apart her mind until it would be just like double life.
Though the silver lining was that at least she knew it was coming, so when she felt a pull dragging her into the woods feeling like thousands of eyes were watching her, she knew what was going to happen.
