When all might tells izuku he can't become a hero, the child is understandably devastated. If he had just had a quirk, if he had only been born stronger...maybe Kacchan was right all along. So when he gets a quirk, his world turns upside down, and now, izuku has to learn a new quirk in the remaining nine months, well, technically forever but still, till the ua entrance exam, remain on the top of his grades, and make sure aizawa doesn't try to murder him until he can do so.

If you asked what Izuku’s quirk was, he’d tell you it’s a minor regeneration quirk. Which isn’t entirely wrong. It is a regeneration quirk, though it isn’t a ‘minor’ one. It doesn’t just deal with small cuts and bruises.
It can heal past death itself. Though Izuku isn’t sure whether it could bring him back, considering it isn’t his quirk that truly brings him back to life.

The first time Kyoka heard just how snarky 1-A’s resident ball of sunshine was, was around a week into their second school year. She had been sitting in Midnights classroom, contemplating jumping out of a window, and Midnight had been walking away from Midoriya’s desk when she heard it, a tiny, quick, almost voiceless mutter of “Why does she care if the drawings hands are fucked, has the bitch seen mine?”
She choked on air because that was unexpected. She wouldn’t have thought twice if Bakugou or literally anyone else had said that, but Midoriya? Midoriya was a ray of sunshine, he was the most heroic and innocent person Jirou had ever met, and apparently he was a snarky little bitch.
