With history the same and yet different from what we know of it, how will this change the course of the future as the story returns to the present?

But if he has to do it all over again, simply defeating Voldemort won't be good enough: there's a never-ending scroll of tragedies to avert and one newly-installed Headmaster of Hogwarts to talk around (if he manages to get a word in edgewise before getting hexed). The good news is, as always: he's not fighting alone.

Absolutely brilliant, a wonderful read.
While the story is unfinished, the current final chapter (44) does not end on a cliff hanger, and instead does wrap it all up quite nicely. It could be read as the ending of "book one", if a book two were to exist. Definitely worth taking the time to read.
