The House of the Dragon will rise once again, to greater heights than anyone could have imagined. This is a rework of the original fic I posted awhile ago. I found the writing style did not reflect the way I wanted to do this fic. There will be chapters that feel very similar to the original fic, and there will be chapters that did not make the cut.

It was neither of their faults — the realm judged the babes on appearance alone, but appearance meant a great deal in the seven kingdoms, especially when a bastard carried the Valyrian look more than Baelor ever would. He needed an alliance that would stabilize his claim. The small council debated at length on the problem.
It appeared Maekar had very neatly solved it for them.
Or, a royal wedding helps their political interests. It does very little for their personal ones.
