Horror dawned on Illuga as he realized that his senior had one instance of the Ultra-Rare Grand Master Varka plush, belonging to the Loyal Cuddly Knights of Favonius Blind Box Series that had just released barely a week prior. Had Flins reached a point where he could no longer bear his grief?
"Are you okay?"
Flins nodded. "I am in high spirits, Young Master. Varka and I had a lovely conversation recently about recent happenings, the weather..."
Oh, dearest Moon Goddess, grief-stricken Flins was descending rapidly into psychosis.

(Then, it has only ever been Crepus who’d smile in that knowing way of his, something that said, of course you did, without making Varka feel like he’s being made fun of.)

“Drink.”
No drink if you want. No give it a try, dandelion wine is the best. There was no room left for Flins to say no. And frankly, Flins didn’t want to say no anyway.
Flins took a natural sip from the glass; not too much, and not too little. Just enough for his throat to bobble and to draw Varka’s attention to it.
For the first time, he was close enough to what he wanted to hear. Varka might finally shape his movements, his choices, and Flins wanted it. He wanted to surrender his choices to Varka’s hands. He wanted it badly.
Varka liked to accommodate everyone by watching and adjusting himself, so no one felt uncomfortable. Whether for the Knights or for his friends, he never changed.
Flins believed it was a beautiful thing. Humans were fragile and needed that coddling. But he was not human. He needed Varka to stop asking him what he wanted and to start giving him orders.

Summary
Varka doesn’t consider himself a denialist. Holding his position as Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, who are, to put it kindly, a bunch of misfits, he’s seen his share of weirdness for at least three lifetimes. By Celestia, his Archon is a drunk twink who can turn into a wind spirit. Because of that, Varka thinks he can handle strange things just fine. The unusual is ordinary to him.
That’s why, when Flins reveals nothing less than a pair of crystalline wings, like a damned angel on his lap while kissing him on a dull winter afternoon, he doesn’t react with shock or gape in awe like some idiot, thank you very much. But that’s when it clicks, the realization turning like a key in his mind.
Holy shit, he’s a fae.
-In wich Varka is completely smitten and lets any of Flins’ weirdness slide, all because he’s distracted by his pretty face. After all, he’s a weak man.
or: the one where varka is the last to discover flins’ little secret (even though he never tried to hide it).

“Nah it's alright,” Caelus said, continuing to tap away at the teleslate, “Mr.Yang has the map, he can take care of himself...he likes exploring.”
Phainon faltered at that. So it was Mr.Yang who'd be arriving today. He'd heard Caelus mention the senior often, along with the Navigator Himeko and the Conductor PomPom. Caelus would sigh about how Mr. Yang would love the Janus puzzles or the Grove's tomes. And how the tired old man would appreciate the baths and how the massages offered there could be good for his aching back.
Which was why the Trailblazer's nonchalance stumped him. Caelus usually seemed so attentive to the senior's needs but now was okay with him wandering Okhema on his own? What if he got lost?!

Venti can pinpoint the instant that Zhongli sees Kaeya’s star-shaped pupil and makes the connection to the land they both helped destroy. His friend is good at hiding his emotions, but it’s easy to attribute his silence to shock.
Zhongli’s hand twitches upward.
Venti is quick to lightly step in front of Kaeya, trusting his tense smile to convey his warning. The wind sharpens momentarily, swirling at their feet.
Zhongli’s hand stops and he takes on a pensive look, gaze flitting from Venti to Kaeya. He closes his eyes after a few seconds and hums, relaxing. “I see,” he murmurs.
Venti accompanies Kaeya and his knights on a diplomatic trip to Liyue; no matter what happens, he can’t allow his friend to meet the Geo Archon. After all, what would Zhongli say if he knew that Venti was willingly harbouring a Khaenri’ahn ex-spy in his city gates? With the added threat of a perpetual shadow looming over them, he has to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Of course, things don’t go as planned.
