Summary
Every movement on the ice is physics: force, friction, momentum, impact.
Figure skater Carina DeLuca understands that it’s clean edges, control and years of discipline that make skating look effortless.
Where as Maya Bishop only knows how to push harder.
After being rejected from the pro hockey team for the second time, Maya doesn’t want help, especially not from the quiet, ridiculously pretty figure skater who offers technique advice that sounds more like a science lesson than skating practice.
And yet Carina leaves an imprint she can’t shake. She doesn’t know whether it’s the way she moves, or the way the ice seems to listen to her. Maybe it’s the way she looks at Maya like she’s already worth believing in.
Somewhere between late night practices and reluctant lessons, Maya’s skating begins to change.
Unfortunately, so does her heart.
Will Maya finally let someone in and will her last shot at going pro be enough?
