Well, he certainly wasn't sugarcoating anything, not that you minded. There was no one else in the Hospital Wing besides the three of you, so why should you care how bluntly he spoke? At least someone here was willing to be blunt and tell you how things were instead of offering you fake smiles that radiated pity, or worse, treating you like a child.

However, when Benoit's car is completely wrecked by a myterious man with an axe and he's left stranded at Our Lady of Perpetual Grace until morning, Jud insists the detective stay the night in the rectory.
