Summary

Jerry is not the best at handling his daughter.
Mabel and Jerry absolutely do not see eye to eye.
But things get worse when Jerry starts the beltway project. After a particularly bad argument, Mabel discovers her science professor’s Hopping technology and comes up with a plan to stop her father.
(AU where everything is the same with the added measure of Mabel being Jerry’s adopted daughter. )

Rebecca has had an accident - oops - and Edward's the one who has to bring her to the steamworks. She always feels silly when her clumsiness and perkiness get her into trouble. Being pulled by Edward doesn't make it any better. Imagine that, being pulled by an engine who never makes such silly mistakes!
Or so Rebecca thinks. While bring her to the steamworks, Edward decided to tell Rebecca about the REAL reason Wellsworth station earned its nickname. And the answer isn't "it's the first station on his branchline".
