Summary
Trinity pushes herself out of Yolanda’s hold, and her gaze slides to meet Yolanda’s before quickly moving to her own hands in her lap. She takes a deep breath. “I need to know that you’ll believe me. This time. It’s hard for me to trust it’ll be different.” Garcia’s confusion flashes across her face, and remains long enough for Trinity to catch it when she glances back at her. She barrels on before she can lose her pluck. “When I went to you about Langdon.” Garcia’s face drops at the pain strewn across Trinity’s face. “You didn’t believe me. You told me I was trouble. I didn’t fully explain to you why that hurt so much.”

Summary
It was creepy, she knew this, knew deep down that if Santos ever noticed her in the dark corner of the club, watching her every move, she would be freaked out. But honestly, Yolanda didn’t care, something about the younger woman drew her in, it was like a switch went off in her brain the first time she saw Santos here, outside of work, grinding on someone with her hands guiding the stranger’s down her hips.

Summary
“It’s late Trin, what are you doing up here?” she wishes Garcia would be mean again, she’s so much better at dealing with blatant dislike. The soft, raspy tone of her voice makes Trinity’s whole body hurt.
(she is so tired of hurting, she’s been hurting since she was 15 years old)
Trinity doesn't look at her, “I could ask you the same thing, Dr Garcia. Thought you had plans.” she means for it to sound sharp and spiteful but it comes out like the voice of a child asking to stay up later than 8pm. She hears Yolanda sigh beside her, risks another glance and sees her face soften with something a lot like regret and worry. Trinity hates that she just said that to her, she doesn't want to be the reason Garcia is here. She doesn't want Garcia around her at all, not because she doesn't love her but because this incredible woman next to her does not need to deal with the mess that is Trinity Santos.
Trinity doesn't want that for her, doesn't want to hurt her.

Summary
"Why don't you go shower while I get dinner started?"
Trinity's mouth opens and for a brief second, nothing comes out. It's not that she doesn't have words. She has too many words, stacked in her throat like plates she's afraid to drop—a series of things she would love to vomit at Yolanda's feet, purging them from her body so that she doesn't have to carry them around anymore. But that's not what she asked. Trinity swallows hard, choking down her desire to be difficult. Now is not the time for complaints. Instead, she forces a weary smile, and hedges, "You don't have to do that."

Summary
Trinity was supposed to be off the clock in an hour when she got dragged into an incoming trauma. She never expected to end up holding a live rocket lodged in the patient’s chest.
With every second that passes, Trinity realizes that if the bomb goes off, the one thing she’ll regret most is leaving behind the woman she loves without ever telling her.
