Have you ever read the Missed Connections section of Craigslist and wondered how many of those people find each other?
What if Nick and Charlie didn’t meet at school and instead had a chance encounter on a London street outside of Boots? But rather than saying hi, they were cockblocked by a grumpy Tao Xu. Would they find a way to meet again? Perhaps in the pages of the missed connections online, they might find their forever.Recently, a friend (thanks, Katie!) shared a video where Colman Domingo tells the story of how he met his husband. It immediately made me think of Nick and Charlie, which inspired this story. If you haven’t seen this, it’s adorable.
You can watch his story here.And I've learned that Craigslist Missed Connections isn't really a thing in the UK, so please suspend disbelief and pretend it existed there ten years ago. M'kay? haha.

Summary
When Charlie Spring's dad gets relocated for work, Charlie and his siblings are forced to leave behind their lives in New York City and start over in a tiny town in South Carolina.
Charlie hates it.
He hates the heat, the smell, the lack of public transportation, the casual homophobia, and the fact that half the town seems emotionally invested in high school football.
Then he meets Nick Nelson.
Nick is a farm boy, a quarterback, and annoyingly nice. He's also funny, patient, ridiculously attractive, and somehow determined to drag Charlie through every small-town summer tradition imaginable.
Charlie keeps telling himself they're just friends.
Unfortunately, that becomes harder to believe with every passing day.
