Ah….. THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME OR THE MAN I AM TALKING FACE-TO-FACE RIGHT NOW.
Every time he opened his mouth in front of the lawyer, he’d embarrass himself. And more painfully, the lawyer didn’t care. He preferred to be scoffed than protected like an innocent little animal.
“More specifically, public defender.” the man held out his hand ,using his soothing voice again, “I’m Hiromi Higuruma. Nice to meet you”
“Kento Nanami. I’m…” Nanami wanted to say stockbroker, but it carried too many stereotypes he hated, so instead of that, he added:”... working in a financial company.”
OR--- Nanami got on a late-night bus and met a man shared too many similarities with him.
