And Percy's hands, his hands were moving before he could stop them. Reaching out. Toward the table. Toward the spreading pool of crimson.
"Percy, no, you don't have to—"
But his fingers were already touching it. Making contact with the wet surface of the table. And the juice was warm. Body-warm from sitting out. And sticky. It clung to his fingers as he pulled them back, strands of red connecting his hand to the table like sinew, like tissue, like the strings that held bodies together before they came apart.
The juice dripped from his fingers.
Ran down his palm.
Pooled in the lines of his hand like a river finding channels, following the creases, the grooves, mapping out his life line and his heart line in red.
Drip.
Aka: Spilled drinks had stopped being accidents after Percy learned what blood looked like spreading across the ground.

Summary
Peter ran forward, to the glass walls that separated him from the outside, those which were keeping him trapped and contained and hidden away from the world. He began to hammer on the glass with his fists. Punch after punch after punch. But his efforts were rewarded with nothing but the blood that dripped from his beaten hands.
The super-strength that he so often relied upon had failed him. It had been torn away by whatever drugs they were pumping into his cell; just as everything else had been.
Peter collapsed to his knees against the glass, tears pouring down his face.
He knew the others were watching. Knew they had woken up with all the noise he was making. The Avengers, his heroes, were observing his clusterfuck of a breakdown. But he couldn’t care less. His life as he had known it was gone, and here he was, cloistered away from the world.
Maybe Ross was right: perhaps he did deserve this. For being a mutant, a monster.OR
peter parker has been captured and held on the raft for breaking the accords. tony stark makes a mistake and realises that he may have gone too far this time. neither are aware of what it means to find that one thing that stops you from ending it all.

Summary
With the Accords having fallen to pieces, Secretary Ross will do anything to take out enhanced individuals. Even if that means paying scientists to create a biological weapon carried by non-enhanced individuals that only effects those with mutated genes. Tony pulls Peter out of school, quarantining him into the tower, but how hard is it going to be to keep a teenaged ball of energy from getting himself infected?

Peter Parker is really bad at quarantining himself when there are still people that need Spider-Man's help and Secretary Ross sucks.
Author's Note: This is a fic obviously inspired by the crazy events happening outside our doors, but this fic is in no way meant to be insensitive to those affected. Stay home, stay safe. My prayers are with those infected, families who have loved ones infected, those who are quarantined with abusive families, first responders, medical professionals, and those who have lost jobs.

As it turned out, not everyone found the kid as endearing as he did.
