When the Council informs him and Obi-Wan that they’re being sent undercover on Cantonica Anakin uses every ounce of self-restraint he has not to immediately grimace at Master Windu. Cantonica is a hole, and that’s if Anakin is being generous. But his urge to frown doesn’t come from the location of the mission, or even the fact that he’s being assigned undercover which he is notoriously bad at, it’s something else.
The whisper of a warning from the Force, which slips away when he turns his attention to it. He thinks, if he could see shatterpoints the way Master Windu can, that maybe he’d be staring at a very large one connected to this mission somehow.
