His black waves are scattered on the pillows like he’s filming a L’Oréal shampoo commercial. My fingers wrap around the strands tug them away behind his ears until I can clearly see those black eyes. “Rapunzel.”
“What?”
“You look like Rapunzel.”
“You’re ridiculous,” his lips curve into the tiniest, lightest smile. “She’s blonde.”
“Then maybe you should reconsider your hair choices.”
“Maybe I should reconsider my women choices.” He shifts onto his back and pulls me in to rest my head on his shoulder. “This one doesn’t let me sleep.”

'It’s whatever' was a good way to describe Max’s response to things. Shopping for his room enticed shugs and noncommittal hums, as did what to eat for dinner, as well as how his first day of school went. Giving him his own cellphone (mainly so he would stop stealing Davids) gained him a small smirk, but nothing else.
Or, the author wants Max to go to therapy, and David somehow gains a son, or at least a whiney little brother.

(Y/n) grew up like any other person, with their soulmates writings on their arm, only for it to appear on her own arm as well. She herself would write down notes and places she needed to be hoping that maybe one day her soulmate would try finding her, she’d draw small images in hopes of getting any kind of response. That day never came and as the years went by with her doing it she finally started giving up. That was until she started getting more lyrics written down for a solid few years, words like ’Rise up’ and ‘Wait for it’ and even ‘The Room where it happens’ appearing on her arm. Thinking nothing of it she went about her life, that was until she overheard someone singing lyrics, on a business trip to New York, she could have sworn she had read all those years ago on her arm.
