She doesn’t plan on staying long. “I just wanted to know if I’d missed some kind of island holiday or something,” she says, eyes darting from eye to eye. “When I left last night, there was a fish on my doorstep.”
The Old Shipwright hums. “Probably Tiburón paying respects.”
“Who’s that?”
“Not a who,” The Cook says. It’s clear that more of the bar’s population is listening in on Amelia’s conversation than she’d anticipated. “A what.”
