“We’re not going to leave your side!” The tears in Zoey’s eyes started to trail down her cheeks. She pressed her hand with a new towel up against her friend’s thigh first. “We’re right here! Just-” She cut herself off as she went to place her hand on Rumi’s arm. She froze with her facial expressions falling.
Tears started to cascade down Rumi’s face as she watched Zoey’s eyes widen, her pupils dilate and her whole body pull back just slightly.
The rapper’s gaze had fallen onto her exposed demon patterns.
Rumi let out a long trembling breath followed by a harsh whine.
She had to cover them up.

Summary
There was an event where only male knights are allowed to fight each other to become the princess's protector. Luz was one of those knights who broke the rules and entered in the competition. Edalyn Clawthorne was chosen years ago to be a general to lead the knights to protect the kingdom of the Boiling Isles which gave her the chance to help her daughter become the new protector.
Princess Amity Blight found out she would be getting a bodyguard to watch over her. She's not very fond of the idea, but there's nothing she can do about it. Amity wasn't impressed when she found out that Luz seemed the type to not be a knight with her kindhearted attitude.
What will happen between Luz and Amity once they officially meet each other?

Sixteen 'lucky' subjects were chosen for a secret government experiment, all kidnapped and injected with an untested substance. None of them knew what would happen to them and panicked as they were forced back into their normal lives and ordered not to tell a soul.
The government realised their mistake and needed the sixteen to remain under watch in a specific testing base on Mars. Creating mass hysteria, a broadcast was sent to the entire region of Japan that these sixteen people are to be hunted down and captured alive. Without any escape from the country, the sixteen have to live out their lives being constantly hunted.
There's no way it's possible to survive this, right?
