Walking out onto his hallway shows him the door is closed. He knocks lightly, but he’s not expecting an answer.
Andrew is hiding again.
He feels.. like a ghost in his own apartment, his life turning to revolve around its only other occupant like it's all that matters. Like he’s haunting him, turning to face the only star in his solar system.
And when he stares at him, he wants to consume him. To make them one and the same, or to die in a blaze of fury regardless. Andrew.. outmatches him in all the ways that matter.
His smile is brighter, his heart is tenfold, success is just around the corner, and Ivan wants to break him down until they’re at the same level. Make Andrew have to rely on him so they can both be suffocating in this world that doesn’t care about bleeding hearts and won’t leave you behind a scrap of mercy.
Ivan will not let Andrew act like his impact meant nothing to him, as if he could just move on, acting as if nothing ever happened because he’s so insignificant. Will not let Andrew forget him.

His friend gave an amused scoff.
Dokja gave a cheeky grin in response, holding his hand towards him, palm up.
Joonghyuk did that thing where it was like he was waiting for it to turn at a specific time before continuing an action. He didn’t know where it came from, hadn’t been there when they were kids, but he figured following some sort of invisible schedule seemed to comfort the man.
Dokja glanced at the watch on his friend’s hand, the one reaching out to him. 21:59, a few seconds away from hitting 22:00.
Once their hands were above each other, palms facing, they clapped.

Things that ate humans to survive, and burned in the sun. ..Although that wasn’t quite true, because they’d been born human, but through various reasons, had been turned into a demon. It could be desired, it could be forced.
In the end, it was a mercy to end them, by demon slayers, wielding Nichirin blades.
Yuu was one of them. Having lived among those who saved others thanklessly. They didn’t want child soldiers, but in the end it was often they were the last ones to survive, and would use up the rest of their life for revenge, before they eventually burned out.
They were lucky, that way, because they still had the option to live their life.
But there was only so much they could refrain from taking action. Once you know of the monsters in the dark, there really was no turning back.

Ever since the events that might as well have led to the end of the world– Er, twice actually, there’d been some sort of vendetta against Night Raven College.
An increased fear against mages in general due to the power they wielded– It certainly wasn’t helped much by the many overblots that had been covered up by the school, which had been revealed to the public.
If you didn’t count the Shroud siblings nearly unleashing Phantoms to wreak havoc on the world, then you’d definitely at least have to count Malleus Draconia, overblotting and creating a large field that put everyone to sleep.
Unfortunately considering the people high up who had to get involved to get people to evacuate and monitor the very risky situation… Yeah it wasn’t like they could just sweep it under the rug.
It's been 4 years since then. Night Raven College still existed, albeit facing a large amount of criticism. Whether it was for failing to take care of its students to where several faced experiences where by all accounts should have died, whether it was for raising delinquents and monsters to later unleash upon the world.
