“That’s funny,” Alex says, “I have a cat named Corky. He likes to visit my neighbour. I don’t. I’m too busy with work and not sleeping. Speaking of which can I-”
“Wrong one boss,” Corky calls over.
“Blast,” Roper complains. “How many of these people does Pine have in there? Agh, never mind. Send this one to the suite across the hall and we’ll try again shall we?”

Summary
Loki was gone—at least, the part of him that Sylvie knew.
Upon travelling to New Asgard to find his brother, Sylvie buries a lock of his hair as a way to say goodbye. But soon after, she finds a small tree has grown in its place. With the help of her new friends, she investigates the mystery of the tree—and its connection to Loki.
The feel of cool damp grass on her hand. The smell of ozone on the breeze. The dew seeping into her pant legs. Everything felt in focus and so very real, not at all like a dream.
And Loki was still there.
He’d spoken, he’d looked at her, and then he’d laid his head back down and closed his eyes. Completely still, except the rise and fall of his steady breathing.
Alive.
It would be easy for her to remain transfixed on this subtle motion, the endless pattern of inhale/exhale. She shook off the temptation and looked him over; he was covered in a thick shiny substance. Transparent for the most part. Tentatively, she tried to wake him.

Summary
Loki helps the new TVA build a society for all the variants with no place to go, like him.
Sylvie and his other self found each other and are living the life he desperately wanted. Unwilling to risk making a version of Sylvie that won’t be ok, he tries to move on with his life, but a Loki variant who looks exactly like her is making things complicated.Loki tries his best to separate the two of them in his mind while helping the variant heal from eons of TVA experimentation, and his own heart in the process.
He didn’t flinch away from the touch, but didn’t respond to it either, “Did you just come here to flirt, or is there something else you wanted?”
His counterpart sighed in resignation, “No, I do have something to tell you,” he dropped his eyes to the floor, then looked up and grinned widely, “but you’ll have to catch me first.”
With that, he disappeared in a flash, hoping to tempt Loki into a magical game of cat and mouse.

Summary
On Halloween night, Sylvie and friends try to summon a demon. However, they don't actually expect it to work. Meanwhile, Loki is just trying to escape his father after realizing something horrible about himself. He doesn't expect to end up in the human world, let alone be stuck in it.
As the months go by, Loki and Sylvie grow closer, discovering new things about themselves, the people around them and the strange little town in which they all live.
