Summary
Shadow Milk was a ‘normal cookie’; he often found it funny that he shared the same name as a character from a novel he read. Friends and students alike frequently teased him for it. But alas, he was a teacher at heart, and there was no way in his mind that he would torment someone so kind-hearted who believed in the truth.
After all, Pure Vanilla was such a charming character that he was swayed by his lowest and cried at his peaks when he overcame his suffering.
This is why it was distressing to find himself as an astral projection watching over Pure Vanilla in a world where he was still known as “Healer Cookie.”
With a book in his hands, he was given a checklist of requirements. Oh- He was Shadow Milk Cookie, from the novel. Shouldn’t he be given a script? Witches, where would he even begin? He was a performer at heart, but in something so life-like, he might have been given an impossible task.
Please let this be a lie, or a dream. Yes, a dream was better.

His hands shot up caressing it, the shape resting in his hands present. Glowing faintly at his touch, he corrected himself, he could feel it, but he couldn’t use it.
In which after the battle of the Spire of Deceit, Shadow Milk finds himself trapped in a room. Magicless, weak and tired. Then there's Pure Vanilla feeding him, telling him he's safe here... What a liar.

Summary
Pure Vanilla is a completely ordinary cookie. And then he wakes up.
Now, he's stuck traipsing through a world quite different from his own, down to the very laws of nature. Magic is apparently real and he's a capable user of it.
He doesn't even know how these people know that! Or him for that matter! There's something vaguely familiar about some of these cookies, but not nearly to the level they seem comfortable with Pure Vanilla.
Worst part is, he has the sneaking suspicion the book series that his nephew has been obsessing over may be related...
If only the kid didn't skip over the "boring parts" in his explanations.
