This was typically the part where Rumi would be expected to introduce herself, but she didn't seem to give a flying fuck about what was expected of her if the way she still just stared even as Celine cleared her throat pointedly said anything.

Rumi squinted between them and the bag. "Why."
"Because as much as you don't seem to like us, we like you just fine."

"Well, come on. Aren't you going to bite somebody with those big sharp teeth of yours?" Mira prompted again with a raised brow, shaking Zoey's arm slightly, as if genuinely trying to entice Rumi to take a bite.
Instead of taking the proffered bait, Rumi turned her head away with a strong air of ‘well now I don't want to.'
"Thought so." Mira drawled, unimpressed. "Now how about you let us help you inside?"

Summary

Unlike Lex, Lena didn't see aliens as threats to be neutralised, but as potential allies and solutions to humanity's greatest problems, especially Supergirl.
From the moment they met, Lena recognised something others missed in Kara Danvers. The Kryptonian was not just Earth's protector, but a god forced into martyrdom for a planet that refused to change.
Kara also recognised something in Lena that others did not see. She was not simply an evil Luthor chasing power, but someone who saw the same inevitable collapse she did and wanted to prevent it.
