Summary
After escaping persecution in Spain, Miguel and Tulio are rescued by people from ancient legends of El Dorado, The City of Gold.
There are ulterior motives to the intervention.
A prophecy tells that the city was given a divine protector when drop of blood from Itzamna, the Creator God, fell onto a bird mask. From beneath the mask a new deity took human form and swore to guard the people. But now, despite offerings at the temple where the warrior was first sighted...he has not appeared.
Thinking the Miguel's dancing skills and the color of his hair may be appealing, they bring him as a tribute. Nobody told him that it would work. Or that deities are quick to claim humans as consorts.
This God and his love are nothing like what Miguel has been taught.
But that doesn't make it a bad thing....right?
(This story is for a contest but being an adult got in the way before I could finish. I will continue this story because the artist that inspired this has given me the first original thought for a story in years! Put in a lot of research for some historical accuracy for the dramatics. The SunBird lovin comes later)

Sokka isn’t stupid. Not that his sister is, mind you (at least, he’d never call her that to her face now that she’s honed her waterbending), or any of the rest of Team Avatar, although sometimes it feels like he’s living in a different world from the rest of them — a world where running out of food means starving, and walking into a town full of firebenders with the Avatar in tow will get you killed, rather than help you free a beaten-down Earthbender colony.
Anyways.
Sokka isn’t stupid, which is why he laughs directly in Aunt Wu’s face when she tells him that he will marry the Fire Lord.

"Sam—" Dwalin started, then inhaled. Shook his head to clear the sleep away. He was still jittery with adrenaline when he said, “Ye were supposed to wake me when ye started fucking me, ye bastard.”

Summary
"“I really got myself a through-and-through cat,” mumbled Miguel, a faint smile playing on his face as Ichtacka looked up. His eyes were heavy-lidded, their usual bright green looking dark as he watched Ichtacka from under his lashes, clearly coming down from his height, faces tear-soaked and flushed, parted lips kiss-swollen and bruised. As the torches cast light on him from behind, making his hair look like melted oro, Ichtacka thought he never looked more beautiful."
