He only just managed to cover his mouth as a wracking, coughing fit shook his body. “Wright?” Edgeworth was closer now, his voice soft with concern in a way that Phoenix had only heard in the most dire of times. When Phoenix pulled his hand away from his mouth, there were a small handful of petals nestled in his palm. A moment of stunned silence followed as both men stared uncomprehendingly at the anomaly. “What the hell is going on, Wright?” Edgeworth demanded finally. Phoenix might have been gratified to see his worry if he wasn’t so confused himself.
"I honestly have no idea," he managed hoarsely.
