As their deadly dance continued, the world started to blur and the pressure weighted down on Sora’s shoulders. He sidestepped, a second before the shadow lunged at where he stood. It was more of a combat reflex, and the key came up in one of few strikes that found its mark, right on the black glass helmet, sending Vanitas away for the first time.
It cracked, and then broke.
Vanitas turned around mid-air, landing on his feet, his blade ready over head. A piece of glass fell and shattered. Sora braced himself for another attack, but all he got was that unsettling similar voice piercing the echoing darkness.
“Want to see your own face this much?”
