“Parker? As in Peter?“ Flash makes a vague noise of assent. MJ bites her tongue to refrain from showing too much curiosity. “There’s a name I haven’t heard in years.”
Not since one night in college. A quick visit home over Christmas and a desperate break away from her family’s antics. Peter had provided a very good distraction, though they hadn’t spoken since.
“I wish that were me.” He mutters, not sounding nearly as annoyed as he would have back in school.

The boy jumps, almost topples over from where he’s sitting with his arms wrapped around his knees, though how he hadn’t heard her mounting the fire escape steps is anyone’s mystery.
“I--what?” he asks after a fumbling moment, looks her up and down from behind a set of thick-rimmed glasses in a simultaneously subdued and bemused sort of way. “I don’t--no?”
“You gotta be,” Michelle crosses her arms. “Because this is my lookout, and that’s my spot.”
