Alice has always found herself to be a slightly detestable person, even worse than most of the people you’d expect to meet in the Outskirts.
She’s blunt, rather headstrong and mean but deep inside she wants to be different.
To be loved, to be cherished, to be normal.She wants to find her mother but just like the other things she yearns for, her dreams are so far out of reach.
She is fundamentally different, fundamentally flawed, fundamentally dangerous…
After hearing that her mother has went to The City, Alice decides it’s time to use her fundamentally dangerous nature in order to venture in and hopefully find her mother.
But The City is a massive place, full of even more dangerous things than Alice could ever imagine..and she’s unfortunately stepping right into the viper’s nest.

A slip through time, a slip through space. A slip right into the City.
You were in the City for around 2 years at the point that Faust found you and delivered the contract. Perhaps the most surprising part of that interaction is the fact that you accepted with minor rage because of what happened before. Though maybe her promise to you was that enticing.
Or maybe you just wanted an excuse you finally feel death without breaking a promise.

You’ve been stuck in this world for…probably a year now. Like the ebb and flow of a river you let your lot in life lead you through this stream, all for the hope that one day you could return home to where you truly belong. Where you’re supposed to be, like your ward once promised you.
When that day shatters before your eyes, you set your sights on more desperate prospects—or rather they set their sights on you. You can’t trust anyone, especially a denizen of the City, but that game didn’t lie, didn’t it? If anyone could free you from the chains of this world, surely it would be her and that company’s capabilities, right?
Hope is a fluttering and yet powerful thing. You were once miserably satisfied with finding a living within the Backstreets of the City, but with both of the things that you need so closely within reach, is it selfishness to want to hold onto that hope with all you have left?
(Is it greed if you decide to push the plot along a little to the left every now and then?)
