Summary
Lucky, are the people who are born as something cute and lovable like a hamster hybrid, or something cool like a fox or peacock hybrid. Unlucky, are people like Minho, who are born as something like a snake hybrid, forced to deal with negative connotations and wary looks all the time.
He tries to stay positive and tries to steer people’s expectations in any way he can. He wears light colors to seem less intimidating, wears long sleeves to cover up the scales on his arms, always makes sure to smile to compensate for his resting bitch face, but there’s only so much he can do.OR: Minho has a crush on the cute emo squirrel and wants to ask him out so badly. Too bad Jisung is afraid of him.
Or is he?Series

Summary
Podfic reading of shotgunning, by keros.
Author's summary:
"Are you still nervous?" Minho asks, retaining that addictive nonchalance to his voice.Jisung releases a pathetic little laugh between his gritting teeth. “Yeah,” he breathes out. “Just a little bit.”
"Let me smoke you out, then."
Jisung makes the mistake of letting his curious gaze wander, allowing a mesmerized "How?" to escape him. He's done the moment their eyes meet, because then Minho's taking Jisung's jaw in his hand while the other holds what's left of his blunt, dark eyes trailing down to the lips he wants to coax apart.
"Open for me."

Shotgunning: the practice of inhaling smoke and then exhaling it into another individual's mouth.

Summary
Shaun nodded, serious. “She always smiles when she talks about you. Even when she’s sad. She tried not to be, but I could tell.”
Deacon’s chest tightened. He kept his expression neutral, “Your mom smiles at a lot of people.”
“Not like that,” He aid quietly, shaking his head. He glanced toward the window again, then back, “She smiles like… like she’s remembering something good. Even if it hurts a little.”
Deacon let out a ghost of a laugh. “You’re observant. That ever get you in trouble?”
Shaun shrugged. “Sometimes.”
He crouched slightly so they were closer to eye level, keeping his tone light, almost conspiratorial. “Alright. Here’s the thing. Love’s complicated. Especially in the Commonwealth. Especially for people like your mom.” And people like me, he didn’t say. “Caring about someone doesn’t always mean… you know. Big dramatic stuff. Sometimes it just means you want them safe. Happy. Fed. Preferably not yelling at a wet dog on the porch.”
Despite himself, Shaun snorted.
Deacon smiled, relieved to have landed that. He kept going, carefully skirting the truth without touching it. “Your mom’s important. To a lot of people. She’s… kind of hard not to care about.”Series
