And then they wiped the tear soaked palm down their carapace, leaving a filmy streak on the suit in its wake.

Grace watched on in horror as they lowered the wet and tear-soaked claw to their ventral seam, stroking it over their most vulnerable area with a shudder and high-pitched moan.

Simon jerked away from him with a snarl. “You’re gonna get hurt. I can’t control myself.”
“Then let me help you.”Four months ago, the Eridians found a human welded into a metal box on the bottom of an ocean made of human blood, and somehow that's not the weirdest thing about the man. Even after they let him out of quarantine, he doesn't talk much, and Grace keeps a cordial but distant relationship with him--until he gets sick with some mystery illness and Grace gets tasked with helping him recover, because surely he knows what to do. (Spoiler alert: he doesn't. But he figures it out.)

"Now you've seen me. You can go now," she says and Ryland blanches.
His face goes white and then a glaring shade of red. She'd forgotten how cute he looks when he's overwhelmed. Too bad she's too irritated at him to fully appreciate it. Pulling teeth on a matter he brought to her attention.
"Bad choice of words I meant that I…miss you," he says and he fiddles with his cardigan, pulling it up to reveal what she already knew.
