Who also hates the thought of a kid dying. *counts the many raised hands* I know. I know... It is fiction, but Henry Standing Bear doesn't need the death of a child to step up and be the "Helping Bear" that he is.
I hate plots driven by murder *she writes as she continues to inhale mysteries* Okay. I am a hypocrite, That is the purpose of fanficiton… Creating alternate worlds. Places we can grieve a little and change a little and this gives us *me* some peace of mind.
This is the survival of Mingan, maybe the start of our OC. None of that is important though. Read it and feel better, fiction or not, I would like to save the kids.

Phantom is considered an old timer who deals with a small city and nowhere else. When he begins uploading videos with advice for young heroes, he hopes a few new heroes might avoid some of the pain he went through. He's shocked at just how popular his advice suddenly becomes.

Summary
Bilba has been a slave her entire life. All she knows of the outside world is what she sees from time to time outside the gates of Moria and the stories her mother used to tell her. Stories of a place called the Shire where her mother once lived and a placed called Erebor where, as far as she knows, her father still lives. Stories of dragons a thousand times larger, and more intelligent, than the beasts the orcs rode and of a strange concept called freedom where one was allowed to live as they wished with no one to tell them what they could, or could not do.
The stories meant little to Bilba. The only future she had was to live, and die, as a slave as countless number had before her.
And then the orcs dragged an injured female firedrake through the gates, her rider screaming obscenities behind her as he fought to reach her side...and everything changed.
